VOX: Arctic Fever: Breaking the Ice
It’s one of the most unforgiving and untouched places on our planet, yet a land whose fragile environment is being endangered by our southern lifestyles. It’s the Canadian Arctic. Ten teens from across North America set off on an expedition of a lifetime, camping, not on land, but on the frozen ice of the Arctic Ocean. Working with a staff of world-class scientists who volunteer their time to share their knowledge of this diverse and beautiful region, the students see first hand how the Inuit live in the extreme Arctic conditions. Daily explorations to wildlife settings, remote communities, and international research stations bring this amazing place to life. Viewers witness how this unique experience has affected the ten teens, and given them each a new understanding and respect for our planet and for each other. Arctic Fever: Breaking the Ice is a special presentation of VOX, TVOntario's acclaimed youth magazine series for teens.
